In the week 5, the presentation topic is about the interactive and immerse. The presenters are presenting the information about the interactive and immerse narrative really clearly and extent precisely. However,in my opinion, they should bring more eye contact with the audiences that would be better.
The influences of the interactive narrative of movies and games are getting close to each other, especially in the presenting way and technology part. “Interactive narrative is a form of digital interactive experience in which users create or influence a dramatic storyline through actions, either by assuming the role of a character in a fictional virtual world, issuing commands to computer-controlled characters, or directly manipulating the fictional world state”(Riedl & Bulitko 2013,p1)
Bucher(2017,p161)“With VR, this incident might actually be the viewer finding themselves in immersed virtual space, especially in a first-person experience.” In 2005, I was going to visiting an immersive show named “raining house” which was created by Collaborative Studio Random International. These artists actively applied new technologies into their works which are the invention of the artwork, the immersive narrative space “ranging house” allowing the artistic work directly interact with the participants, and to reflect and create unforgettable immersive experiences to them. Therefore, immersive narratives are not only just visual art to the audience. An activity that includes rich sensory experiences and rich cognitive experiences can create the most entertaining flow of the mind. The immersive art form can be simply attributed to the “audience into the works of art” and the “interaction with it” this two conditions that involve each other. Furthermore, VR also is an impressive technique to the society, It presents the real feeling to the participants.
