This is my first time working on the 3D video shooting, and it is a challenging and complication work to all of us in the group. We don’t understand what it is the best version of this video. After the teachers watched this video and give us the feedbacks in the final screening, we are realized that how many aspects that we have to improve this project of the 360 video. Firstly, in the video of “State of the Heart” the two artists to define what it is art. This is a quite huge explanation of the work, and we didn’t present their artwork into the video which makes the video have nothing to explore of the two artists in the video. Secondly, we are using the 360vision to create the video and we didn’t utilize creating a space of the images also really important in the 3D video. I remember that when we are creating the 2D video we have to find the best angle or create the space to get the picture and shooting it. This rule also as important as 3D video. Thirdly, the entrain page should be designed different photo can access different artists stories. Rather than the story of the 3 artists are created in one video version. I had learned a lot of shooting and editing skill from this project “State of the Heart”

As for the future outcome, we hope that we can adjust the story of the artists, discover their highlight and find the best way to present it. The feedback from these two teachers is really helpful for this project. In addition, we will keep posting the information on Instagram, Facebook, Weibo, and WeChat account. Let the artist participate in our project to share their story about art.

Prompt 9: Approx 400 words Research a practitioner in your chosen field and critically reflect on their practice and why you respond to their work.

The modern technology of the virtual world is not a stranger to the people nowadays. Through the development of high techniques, people become more and more willing to engage and pursue in the real experience of interaction. One of the biggest electronic business enterprise in Chian, the Alibaba Group’s Taobao has no longer just a form of economic shopping that satisfies people who don’t want to go out for the shop. Even TaoBao is the most famous online shopping platform in China. However, the Alibaba Group is not satisfied with the current status and then they have studied the experience of simulating real shopping by using the 3D headset for people. When the people wearing the VR headset and remote control of VR, they can feel like they are in the real stores to enjoy the shopping experience. This is very convenient for the people, it can effectively view the product information, the price, and the functions. The model of the product makes people feel very real through the VR technology. It is also a good choice to experience shopping in the mall without leaving home. In my opinion, it can be a benefit for people who are suffering the infantile autism. They can also experience and enjoy shopping by using this new technique at home. This is undoubtedly an attractive shopping experience and ultimate pursuit for the engineer and sciences. I believe that China is constantly exploring and advancing for the development of high technology.

The reason why I am responding to the VR shopping experience technique of Alibaba enterprise is that I am interesting about those new technologies after working on this project of State od Heart. In my opinion, working in the new techniques should more careful and more patiently to discover the information through differences method. I hope that I can have a chance of working in the new media technology fileld in the future.

Prompt 8: Approx 200 words Detail and respond to the main feedback you received during your work in progress review.

During the week 8 presentation and the class feedbacks from our teachers, we had released that we still have a huge work to finish. We only have the outer space to show to our teacher in the Wonder VR. We even haven’t edited the video and music on to the Wonder video. The outer space looks great when the audiences getting in to there. However, it is hard to connect the style of all the videos together which we have shot. In addition, we haven’t shown our project to the other classmates. Therefore, we lose the chance of collecting the feedbacks and advices from them.

Finally, our biggest responsibility is to put the videos into the Wonder VR as soon as possible. Otherwise, no one will understand the effect and result of this project. As we can see, the whole project is designed by Issiah. Therefore our job is to assist him to finish the whole project. Kevin will assist him to adjust the shooting process, Qi is trying to dealing with the light and sound problems. I am more concentrated on the translation and the public account of Chinese. Sometimes, we have different opinions of this project State of heart, we will trying to listening to the suggestion from each other.

Prompt 7: Approx 300 words How are you going to present your work professionally (folio, show reel, website etc) and why?

Our project state of heart will be presented into 360 VR interactive experiences by using Wonder VR technique. This is the most significant way to show our project to the audiences. It will include the story of the 3 artists which is our project director Issiah, Alexander and Soreti. They share their experience about explore art, define art and creating art. We will put those interview into the Wonder VR space. When the audiences wear the headset they will get into the outer space, and then they can use the VR controller to control or choose the video.

At the presentation next week, our group will going to share what we have done, such as production phases and activities, showing the images and video about the 3 artists during they are working. Moreover, presenting some of the pictures when we are doing the wonder VR testing and we have also recorded some video when we are operating the VR controller. In addition, showing the list about the 31 interactive film festival that we are planning to participate in. Because we also want to explore the overseas market which targets Chinese audiences, translating interview audio is also necessary for us.

Prompt 6: Approx 400 words One Year Plan and Community of Practice outline

After the course is completed, firstly I need to find a media-related job. It’s not complicated to find a job in my hometown. However, it’s hard to work in a media enterprise. Because those companies have a high stander’ job requirement. My current stage is doing an internship in the media field to gain professional marketing and media knowledge in this field which hopes it can assist my career in the future. My final goal is to get a position on one of the world’s top 500 enterprises in the future.

This part is about my personal SWOT self-analysis. Firstly, as for my Skills, I have a background in painting and design, and I was learned the Rhino, CAD, and Photoshop in my bachelor for assisting my design, and those skills are really influenced my creative ability. Right now I am also good at using Adobe Premiere for editing skill and camera operating. Secondly, Weaknesses. I should improve my social skill for integrated into the workplace. Thirdly, Opportunities. Join in an internship in the media field. For the Threats, I learned drawing and design which are different to editing and camera operating which are not professional in one field.

The community of practice outline, I have an internship in a company of immigration and education agent, Due to the company planning to target more Chinese clients. They have created a public WeChat account which to share the articles and information about the immigration and overseas study. I had experienced about managing the social media account of WeChat, Instagram and Facebook in the project of state of Heart. And then, my duty in the internship is to promote articles and information of study abroad on the WeChat public platform. Sometimes, I need to fill the form of the application and also do some translation of their application. I am getting in the trouble of translation. Because it should be really formal form, and the English writing is still my weakness part, especially the grammar mistakes. Therefore, I should do more practice my writing skill.

In this internship, I have learned how to cooperate with my colleagues, especially the communication skill and social skill. I am interesting about the editing the content and pictures of the articles. After I am back to China, those skills would help me to get into the career life more easily and quickly.
